Ketogenic Recipes that I have made and like.

Aug 12 (Tues)

Bible: Ezekiel 10:1-13:23

Exercise

  • 10 sit-ups or crunches
  • 30 min walk outside

Meals

Breakfast

Lunch

Snack – 1/4 c coconut mixture.

Dinner – Rao Marinara sauce over  1# cooked ground beef with onions.  & 1/2 c heavy cream

Spaghetti squash – cut in 1/4, scrape out seeds, put in Ziploc microwavable bag cook each 1/4 in microwave with 2 T water for 7 1/2 min.

Aug 11 (Mon)

Bible: Ezekiel 5:1-9:11

Exercises:

  • squats – 10 without any weight & 6 with my barbell
  • deadlift- 10
  • bench press – 10
  • walk 30 min outside

Meals:

  • Breakfast – tuna & egg salad with celery & mayonaise
  • coffee & 1/2 tsp coconut oil & Da Vinci s/f vanilla syrup
  • Lunch– left over filet mignon & green salad with Ranch dressing
  • snacks – 2 artichoke hearts, few smoke house almonds
  • Dinner – chicken salad (BBQ’d chicken thighs, cooled, mixed with mayo & celery.  Try new Veggetti (from Walmart)  to make  summer squash into spaghetti.  I summer squash didn’t make very much spaghetti, but I sautéed it in coconut oil with 1 bell pepper chopped. When they were soft & cooked I set aside.  In small pan cook 1 1/2 oz cream cheese, 1/8 c heavy cream until it boils and the cream cheese is melted.  Then add 1/8 c parmesan and cook until it is smooth and thick.  Put over vegetables.

Aug 10 (Sun)

Bible:   Ezekial 1:1-4:17

Exercise:  nothing scheduled

Meals;

Breakfast – tuna & egg salad with celery

Coffee – 1/2 tsp coconut oil & DaVinci s/f vanilla syrup

Lunch– sardines, celery, artichoke hearts & iced coffee made with a little coffee, cream & s/f syrup

Dinner– filet mignon BBQ outside,

  • cucumber salad,
  • green salad,
  • guacamole with strips of bell peppers

1 oz Ghirardelli  72% cacao Intense Dark Chocolate

Aug 9 (Sat)

Bible reading: Jeremiah 23:9-40, Jeremiah 27:1-28:17

Exercise: – nothing scheduled.

Meals:

Breakfast-  2 pieces bacon per person, 2 eggs per person,( toast & butter for hubby)

LunchArby’s combo of

  • brisket sandwich without BBQ sauce (throw out bun & onion rings)
  • Diet Mtn Dew
  • side salad with balsamic vinegrette

Dinner (really good!)

Fried Walleye with nut crust

  • chopped 1/3 c walnuts, 1/3 c pecans & 1/3 c almonds in blender & mix
  • bowl with flour
  • bowl with 2 eggs & 1 T cream
  • bowl of chopped nuts

Debone Walleye, cut each half into about 4-6 pieces.  Dredge in flour & then tap it to get most off.  Then dip in egg mixture, then in nuts.  Put in freezer while heat canola oil in fry daddy.  Use basket to cook about 3 pieces at a time about 3 minutes.  Lightly salt while they drain on paper towel

Thin slice Jicama – thin as potato chips.  After the walleye is finished cooking, cook the jicama – they will be like slightly sweet potato chips.  sprinkle with popcorn salt.

Make guacamole with ripe avocado and salsa.

Eat the walleye with guacamole on top of each piece and it is good between 2 pieces of the cooked Jicama.

Coleslaw – thinly slice cabbage.  Mix 1/2c mayo, 1 T vinegar & 1/2 T Da Vinci S/f vanilla syrup

Aug 7 (Thurs)

Bible:  Jeremiah 29:1-32, 2 Kings 24:18-20, 2 Chronicles 36:11-14, Jeremiah 49:34-39, Jeremiah 50:1-46

Exercise:  Didn’t do any

Meals:

Breakfast:  Hardees low carb breakfast bowl.

Coffee :12 oz coffee, 2 T cream 1 T Da Vinci s/f vanilla syrup

Lunch: salad with tenderloin

Dinner:  Corned beef & cabbage

cut head cabbage in 1/4, cut out core, chop into rough shredded.  Sauté in covered pan with coconut oil, occasionally stirring

  • 1 # left over corned beef – this was from a fresh corned beef I cooked and I had saved half in the freezer.  I defrosted it and cut it across grain 1/2 in slices.
  • Put cabbage in bottom of 8x 12 pan
  • cover with corned beef and stir in 2 c shredded cheese.  Bake 350 until hot – about 15 min.  Then put 1-2 more cups shredded cheese on top and put in oven until melted.

Dessert:  Coconut chocolate bark

  • 1/2 c melted coconut oil
  • 1/4 c heavy cream
  • 1tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 c powder splenda
  • 1 1/2 c unsweetened coconut
  • 2/3 c chopped walnuts.
  • Lindt 82% cocoa chocolate bar (can use 70% cocoa)

mix together and spread on parchment on a cookie sheet with sides.  Bake 350 degrees, stirring every 5 min so it doesn’t burn.  After lightly browned (about 10-12 min pull it out of oven and immediately put 80% cocoa chocolate bar broken over top.  It will melt and you can spread that.  cool, break off a piece for dessert.

Aug 6 (Weds)

Bible:  Jeremiah 14:1-15:9, (favorite idea( Even if Moses and Samuel were to stand before me…)  Jeremiah 18:1-19:13, Jeremiah 24:1-10

exercises 

  • 10 squats without the bar trying to have right form
  • 5 deadlifts – watching form
  • 5 bench presses – watching form
  • walk  30 minutes outside

Meals

Breakfast – eggs cooked in coconut oil and frozen sausage

Lunch – left overs from night before

Snacks- smokehouse almonds, sunflower seeds, macademia nuts

Dinner – I mix 1/2 frozen Shrimp Scampi from Sams club and about 1# fresh shrimp.  I added 2 oz cream cheese

Cucumber salad – sliced cucumber with sour cream, 1 T Da Vinci vanilla sugar free syrup and 1 T vinegar

Zucchini slices cooked in microwave

Ketones in evening = .6

Aug 5 (Tues)

Bible reading:  Jeremiah 22:24-23:8, 2 Kings 24:10-17, Jeremiah 49:1-33, Obadiah 1:1-21.  I read some of the prophets in “The Message” Bible.

Exercise:

Meals

Breakfast Left over “Low Carb Hamburger Helper” from night before

Coffee, Heavy Cream, Da Vinci sugar free syrup

Lunch: tuna & egg salad made with mayo & celery

Snacks; smoke house almonds, sunflower seeds

Dinner: Cornish Game hens stuffed with onions & bell peppers

Asparagus with Fried Brie cheese– Cut crust off brie cheese.  Cut it in 1/2 inch slices

  • Mix 1/3 c walnuts, almonds, pecans in a blender to chop fine.
  • Make a bowl of 1 egg &
  • 2T heavy cream ( make more if you run out) dip cheese in egg mixture, then nuts, then put in freezer.

Fry in a pan with hot coconut oil about 1 min per side until nice golden brown.

  • Fry 6 pieces of asparagus washed and dried in the coconut oil, then put the fried brie cheese on top – yum!

Hubby eats these with jalapeno jelly and flour tortillas.  I have mine plain.

snacks   Zoi whole fat plain yogurt + 1 T sugar free grape jam + 1 tsp DaVinci sugar free vanilla syrup

Dinner- Low Carb Hamburger Helper – cook hamburger and crumble.  Cook 1 head cauliflower by using Ziploc microwavable bags and cooking 1/2 cauliflower head at a time.  Crumble cooled cauliflower.  Cook 1 # hamburger, drain, crumble.  Add 2 oz cream cheese, 3/4 c sour cream, 1 can rotelle tomatoes, 2 c shredded cheese.  Mix all together and top with Parmesan and bake 15 min.

Ketones 1.1 in morning and .9 in evening (daughter and grandson over for dinner)

Aug 1

One Year Chronological Bible : Jeremiah 7:1-8:3, Jeremiah 11:1-17, Jeremiah 15:10-21, Jeremiah 22:18-23, Jeremiah 35:1-19

slept late so I didn’t walk or do any weight lifting

I had made a tuna salad with can tuna & 2 hard boiled eggs & lots of celery & mayo.  I ate some of that for breakfast.

left over coconut walleye for lunch with salad & spaghetti squash.

snack – some mixed nuts & marinated artichoke hearts

I didn’t feel like cooking dinner so I had the rest of the tuna salad for dinner.  Had some smokehouse almonds and zesty dill pickles too

Aug 2

 

One Year Chronological Bible (Saturday) 2 Kings 24:1-4, 2 Chronicles 36:6-7. Jeremiah 36:1-32, Jeremiah 25:1-38, Jeremiah 45:1-5

Breakfast – made scrambled eggs with deli ham

snack – dill pickle, few smokehouse almonds

Lunch – went to Arbys – I got a “meal deal” of a brisket sandwich (threw away bread) a side salad and diet mountain dew.

Dinner – cooked “Touch of Irish” sausages on the grill.  Hubby ate his in a bun, I had mine without.

I also made some great cucumber salad – slices of peeled cucumber with thin slices onion and a dressing of sour cream & 1 T DaVinci sugar free syrup.

And I made spaghetti squash (scrape and cook in Ziploc microwavable bag.  Served with butter.
